Based in Lisbon, CA•BE develops architecture and interior design projects across residential, commercial and institutional contexts, where architecture, interiors and curation are brought together as a singular language, shaped by place, materiality and temporality. We work through a process of reduction, carefully refining each intervention until what remains is no longer a choice, but an inevitability.

Architecture is often understood through its tangible presence. Yet it is within its invisible dimension that lies the quiet ability to shape how we feel, remember and inhabit.
Guided by an intuitive sensibility, our practice brings together architecture, interiors and curation within a continuous spatial language. We create places that extend beyond form and function, where material, light and proportion reveal meaning, authenticity and emotional depth.
Our work is grounded in the tactile nature of matter and in the temporality of space, where absence becomes an active form of presence. A process of deliberate refinement, where removing is revealing, through which the essential is brought into focus.
Through a restrained and refined approach, we explore the memory of construction techniques, the patina of time and the narratives embedded in each place, allowing spaces to reveal their identity. The inherent nobility of materials in their natural state, the balance between weight and lightness, density and delicacy, texture and colour, become fundamental elements, guided by natural light, proportion and detail.
Grounded in experience, we work across different scales and contexts with a consistent commitment to clarity, precision and a sensibility rooted in the relationship between space, matter and temporality.

Architect since 2003, Carla Belo founded CA•BE as the natural evolution of a path shaped by experience, reflection and sensibility. After more than two decades collaborating with architecture and interior design studios, alongside the development of independent projects, CA•BE emerged as the expression of a mature and personal vision.
