Set within a territory of strong presence, the house is defined by a linear and precise gesture, attuned to solar exposure and to the permeable flexibility of its boundaries. A subtle volumetric twist anchors it to the topography, intensifying its dialogue with light, landscape, and contemplation.

Structured around a clear logic of density and openness, it asserts itself to the east as mass, protection, and thickness. Monolithic in concrete, it anchors to the site while softening into an inhabited depth, where planes, shadow, and vegetation dissolve its edges. This living layer introduces a condition of constant transformation, where light and time blur the boundary between interior and exterior.

To the west, the house gradually opens toward the landscape, shifting from containment to immersion. Material presence recedes, architecture yields to the horizon, and space becomes defined by depth, continuity, and exposure to light, particularly at dusk, when grazing light activates surfaces and shapes atmosphere.

Designed to endure, the house unfolds with fluid continuity, the ground floor fosters openness and connection to the exterior, while the upper level offers a more contained and introspective setting for rest.

Materially, a restrained palette defines its identity. Concrete and Brecha de Santo António express density, time, and compression, one continuous and silent, the other revealing internal depth, veins, and latent crystals brought to life by light. In contrast, olive wood cladding and walnut flooring introduce warmth and human scale, softening the rigor of the whole.

The curation of furniture and objects extends the architectural gesture. Timeless and light in presence, they become part of the space, bringing a quiet dimension that matures alongside the house and the lives it shelters. 

More than scenography, the spaces are prepared for time, open to use, transformation, and to the stories that will inscribe themselves within them, gaining depth through the inevitable patina of daily life.

It is a house designed to endure.
