CA•BE is an architecture and interiors studio based in Lisbon, primarily focused on residential projects, private houses and housing buildings, while also undertaking selected commercial and institutional commissions.
Each project is shaped by a singular set of contextual, cultural and programmatic conditions. Our approach is grounded in the development of proposals informed by a sensitive reading of place and its layered realities, material, spatial and temporal.
Developed through rigour, method, technical knowledge and sensibility, each project requires a precise and singular solution. The process unfolds through continuous drawing, research and a deliberate search for the moment when the solution becomes inevitable.
We explore the dialogue between contemporary architecture and the legacy of local culture, allowing these dimensions to integrate with subtlety and intent. Innovation is approached with restraint, favouring a balance between technical rigour, material integrity and overall coherence.
With a strong intuition for detail and solid technical knowledge, we seek clarity within complexity, favouring natural, timeless and sustainable materials, exploring their authenticity and permanence.
From concept to completion, the process is carried forward with commitment and care, followed closely with precision and trust, ensuring the integrity of the solutions, the precision of detail and the quality of execution.
More than formal solutions, we seek what naturally aligns with the act of inhabiting, ensuring continuity between intention, execution and use.

It is in the tension between form and function that emotion lies.
The most original ideas in design aren’t born from choosing between form and function, but from the creative tension between them. It is within this dynamic interplay, where aesthetic intention meets practical need, that innovation truly thrives. Form without function may be sublime but hollow, function without form may be efficient yet uninspiring. When they challenge each other, solutions become statements, and the result acquires emotional resonance. It is in this context that the soul of each proposal lies.
More than effective, we need to be, above all, deeply human.
